Mercersburg is a true boarding school—about 85 percent of our students live on campus. The residential experience at Mercersburg educates the whole student, both in and out of the classroom. We believe so much in the strength of our residential program that we require all students to board in their senior years.

The residence experience builds a strong community through evening and weekend activities, such as club meetings
, study groups, off-campus trips, and much more. The student activities committee keeps dorm life active with pizza study breaks, dances, concerts, and much more.

Living on campus helps you get to know your teachers better because most faculty members also live there. Many of them even live in the dorms. In fact, up to 17 faculty members are active in each dorm as advisers, residents, coaches, or friends—and there’s at least one faculty apartment on each floor of every dormitory.
